Have you been looking at an official M&G site, or the site of one of the many many cowboy outfits that have sprung up around STN? Lots of horror stories about cars being parked in muddy fields and coming back with scratches.

If it's just for part of a day I'd use the short-term car park - it's right next to the terminal and the train station.
