Again, I'm not complaining about the lack of taxis. And I don't think the Uber surge is 2-3 minutes. Since I got to DC on Sunday at 10am, there has been surge pricing at 1.5x or more.
My complaint is simply about the hotel. I see no reason the front desk agent couldn't have made a call when I asked. He told me to wait 10 minutes while he stood around and did nothing. I think that's unacceptable. I don't think that would happen at a Best Western, let alone a Fairmont. I ended up taking an Uber.
