Seems standard in the Nordics, CPH also does this - signs say you can ask for a same-sex patdown but you may have to wait.
Far more significantly for me, the OSL (and CPH) security people are polite and efficient. My OSL security experience (including secondary search) runs a close second to the JAL F screening in Narita as the most polite I've ever had.
