I'm a tad surprised you've not witnessed this before because it seems fairly common. Tragically, it's necessary because many people try to stand right by the door for a quick exit. Without some verbal encouragement to MOVE RIGHT DARN INSIDE very few would willingly shuffle down the aisle and either it would take for ever to load the bus fully or it would leave half-empty. I agree it's not a premium experience but it's the fault of the cattle as much as the guys with the cattle prod. Not you, obviously, nor me, it's the other pax I'm talking about.



I'm certainly used to the driver pleading for people to move further inside. What I'm not used to is prodders more or less personally bellowing at premium boarders, who have prudently placed themselves around the side of the bus without being in anybody's way, to move. Only a few bolshy old farts like me dared ignored them (I got away with it by hiding behind one of them).
