The problem I have with Qatar is, it doesn't seem to be 'sometimes'. This is now my THIRD consecutive trip with Qatar where my aircraft has changed from a new product to a dreadful outdated one. My last trip I was due to fly on an A380 to LHR. It was switched to an A340-600 again with the angled (non) beds. The flight before that was booked on a 777. Rocked up to the gate to find an A330 parked below.
One rant not enough for you then?

Mrs PtF flew BA154 CW CAI-LHR this past Tuesday (both have us have been flying predominantly with QR for the past year) for a brief UK shopping trip: flying BA gives her 4 x 32kg (compared to QR's 3 x 20kg).

After the flight I asked her how the flight was compared to QR. 'No contest' was her reply, 'QR wins hands down'. From poor meal service (the highlight of which was cutlery that looked as if it hadn't been washed since last use) to dirty and smelly on-board toilets, to LHR T1, the experience was generally third-rate. And for the privilege of flying BA we paid 50% more for the BA ticket than what QR would have cost!

Sorry, but we're firmly in the QR corner - flat beds or not!
