The transaction would drive a better deal for passengers from UK regional airports going transatlantic. EI doesn't have the resources to scale up. The transaction would achieve this.
Where it might be an issue is LHR-DUB; much in the way that the IB/BA transaction causes an issue LHR-MAD.
