I was involved in an accident several months ago in an Avis vehicle. My employer's insurance took care of the claim and I haven't heard anything from Avis until this week. I received a letter in the mail telling me due to my recent accident, Avis has decided to no longer rent me any vehicles.

I also received another letter telling me I was responsible for the claim amount that was already taken care of by my employer's insurance. I'll need to follow up with my employer next week to check on this.

My question is regarding a reservation with Avis Preferred that I already have for this Monday. I'm concerned that once I get to the airport that I will be told that I cannot take the car due to my name being on the 'do not rent' list. The reservation still shows up when I login to my Avis online account.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm hoping I will be able to get off the do-not-rent list, but my immediate concern is the reservation that I had already booked for Monday.

Any advice and/or suggestions would be appreciated!
