Couple more questions

Just cut the cord! Signed up to Velocity!

So now to start getting status

One thing that confuses me is the family pooling.

I have read the bit on the Virgin website about family pooling but its not 100% clear.

Does this mean that if I travel as a family of five on a flight that qualifies (even a partner flight?) they will pool all the status credit towards one account if set up that way? If so, that's awesome, sounds almost too good to be true! Means elite qualifying should be easy peasy!

Another question, looking at the benefits chart, is platinum worth it, doesn't seem to be much difference between platinum and gold, especially as I wont be doing much domestic Australia flying?
