Anyway I plan on buying $500 worth of things at Amazon for a birthday gift. So I plan on taking advantage of getting the bonus pts for Grocery store spending on the Freedom card.

Anyway I have read some horror stories about Chase closing accounts for manufactured spending.

Is this considered manufactured spending? I know it's not that many points compared to people getting there accounts closed, but I was just wondering.

I've been buying gift cards ($25-$50 range) since the 1st qtr started, but not $500 worth in one shot. Will this be a red flag to Chase?

Thanks for any insight.
buying Gift Cards in the $25-50 range is an expensive way to do it, relative to picking up $500 denominations.
