I've never understood this argument. Are you saying that because other people have no idea how to behave, it follows that children should be allowed to misbehave, too? Incidentally, I've seen plenty of people speeding on the road -- does that mean you shouldn't have to pay a fee if you get caught doing just that? It makes no sense.

Anyway, my posts have been rather measured and free of insults. The unfortunate fact is that people tend to lose all sense of proportion when it comes to the suggestion that their offspring and/or their parenting might be anything less than perfect.
