keithguy, thanks again for your help. ORDNorth couldn't have said it better!

SFO-SEA-IAD-EWR-IAD-SAN-LAX-SFO prices at $403 including taxes.

(The outbound on 05DEC is WE14PNQ5; the return on 08DEC is TE14PNQ5, apart from UA1008 LAX-SFO, which is now showing T0 W0 and so priced using VE7NR).

I'll keep trying to get the fare down, but $403 for 7,228 status miles is definitely liveable.
