Just as an FYI, it appears that they will also be allowing for upgraded awards using Starpoints.
It worked. However they seem to have an inventory issue where the lowest standard rooms are
somehow unavailable for award bookings completely unavailable.
I'm asking them to check if the property is eligible for SPG AMEX awards(cat.1-6), which would be plain amazing.
