I was told it was a"NEW" policy, had upset a lot of passengers and thats why they suggested writing in. I have ofte been able to switch on a standby basis and have had standby boarding passes.

What has made this the final straw for me is the idea of charging more for a benefit of being able to change on the day and then silently without saying anything changing the rules to make it more difficult to get the benefit paid for and for no good purpose.

It's a continuation of commercially shabby behaviour that has caused me to give up on them. Each to their own, I've been a customer for a long time, newer customers may be more tolerant.

I think the commercial side looses sight that travelling for business is not something you do for fun. Travel is a tool or a means to achieve a result and the more difficult they make it the more they loose to the orange tail or in my cases much more use of video conferencing because the pain is simply not worth the gain!

The operational side is excellent the customer facing side has steadily improved but the rort the customer at every opportunity commercial side continues like a death of 1000 cuts constantly debasing the loyalty currency and all the other wheezes have for me reached a tipping point and for me, enough is enough.

This is my final post on the forum after many years and about 200 posts.

You only complain about something you care about and want to improve. I'm beyond that, this really was the straw that killed the golden goose to mix a metaphor.

I'd rather give more money to someone else that support this behaviour any longer.
