The second thing i noticed is that my wife doesn't get the fast track security pass ( where you don't take ur shoes off, blet..etc) since she's not a citizen. I've been getting that automatically with United since i entered my trusted traveler number. i keep teasing her that once you become a citizen we can give you the security pass LOL.
My wife and I are considering applying for Global Entry. Is there a solution to this problem other than for her (a permanent resident) to become a US citizen? My wife has no intention of becoming a US citizen. Like your wife, she travels on a foreign passport in her maiden name. Is there something we need to do when we sign up for Global Entry so as to make her eligible for the trusted traveler security line?
In my view, the convenience of an expedited procedure upon arrival back in the US is secondary to the convenience of the trusted traveler security line when departing the US (or traveling domestically). That's the main reason we are interested in Global Entry. Can we do it?
