I've only tried the old NZ seats, but I found the bed a bit longer and wider, the partition wall a bit lower and the tray table much bigger when compared to AC. The IFE was also better.

Overall not a massive difference on the hard product (soft was certainly better). I wouldn't make too far of a detour to fly NZ over AC all else being equal.
