That's a very nice perk for Gold and Diamond, I must say, even if it is expensive.

The flight is on Sunday when my son will be stranded in Budapest if Norwegian goes on strike.
You are probably right that I shouldn't hope for a waitlist to clear - the flight is probably overbooked as it is (it was already sold out last week when I looked for tickets for my son - hence the Norwegian booking ).

I'll probably end up having to book him on an insanely expensive Lufthansa or Austrian Airlines single ticket if there are any seats left by the time I'll get information from Norwegian.
