I was on the flight a few rows forward sitting in PE.

The captain originally said that it would be a five minute delay while they got the child in his own seat. Then there was a bit of a situation with the father shouting 'this is ridiculous' etc and before you know it you had cabin crew running up and down the aircraft.

After a five minute heated exchange and I think the threat of calling the police, the family were offloaded.

We had to identify all of our own hand baggage once they left the aircraft.

Fortunately, we had strong tail winds so despite being on the ground an extra 45 mins we landed only a few minutes late.

I think the cabin crew did well. I'm not sure the situation of assisted by other passengers joining in the argument
