110, I'm not looking at the Oxford dictionary definition. I'm looking at the previous case of manipulation. In that case there was a flaw in the system that people took advantage of by opening a new browser and tricking the system into thinking they had enough miles for a free ticket.
That was a clear case of manipulation and fraud. Those tickets should've been cancelled, and the FF accounts of the people should've been closed.
Fuel dumping is also a form a manipulation, but many of the people who posted about fraud and manipulation in this tread can be found in the fuel dumping thread gleefully discussing ways to buy tickets under false pretence.
By your dictionary definition of manipulation one manipulates a website every time he gets a better price. On Hotwire one can get another go at bidding by increasing the geographical scope of the search. So if I add "Northwest Suburbs" to my search for a 5-star hotel knowing full well that there are no 5 stars in that area, I've "manipulated" the site.
