I probably would choose LH, but I value free alcohol.

I haven't flown UA international Y in awhile, but the LH food was slightly better IMO.

Also, is the LH route LAX -> FRA -> AMS? If so the LAX->FRA leg is either a 747-8i (for the next month or so) or an A380.
