SPG status is offered to individuals. The T&C do not permit different people, even if married and/or living together, to share an account. Elite benefits are normally offered when the account holder is staying in the room, has his/her name on the reservation, is crediting to the elite account, and is paying for the stay. {often abbreviated as the "stay and pay" requirement}
