I would prefer to use the miles (ie save cash to use for condo lodging) since miles seem to be easier to earn & save compared to dollars.
On the new M+ plan, you will be adrift in a sea of miles on P fares. Burn them, burn them!!! Conserve cash. Don't get caught up with the valuation or saver vs standard. Cash is king, if your miles bucket is overflowing....
Of course, you could cash out of your 180k miles at 1cpm merchandise, resell and still make ~600 USD extra after ebay fees...
