I was on on 777 Sky Wider seats this January.

If my memory serves me right Sky Wider is not a Shell type seat, Premium Economy is. I don't recall Sky Wider has leg rest, it is a feature of Premium Economy.

On a day time flight and not trying to sleep, I would ditch Premium economy to get a Sky Wider (34" vs previous Y+ 38" vs new Y+ 42").
