Next Feb might not be that tough for savers...It might be closer to last-minute, but as I said above, if you're doing standard, your only true 'enemy' is the cabin actually selling out. But with several flights a day, if you're a little more flexible than what you're saying above, you might be able to snag some savers, especially a few days before...But really--it's a tall order to say I NEED this flight when dealing with awards, but they're your miles--if you want to blow them on a 3X the price standard award to get to the beach a few hours earlier--that's completely up to you. But since you're here soliciting opinions, you're going to get them--and the consensus says that 180,000 miles for a 4-hour flight to the islands is a gross misuse of miles. Personally, I have never and will never book a standard award...I don't care how many miles I have in my account. But again, they're your miles!

I know Feb is about over, but your best bet (none of us here really have crystal balls) is to do an award search for the rest of this month on the web. A quick search shows at least three F award seats on the 8PM tonight. At least 3 on Friday's 4:40PM flight. And for Saturday--arguably a 'prime' time to go to the islands, at least three on the 8:15am, 9:20am and 11:00am.

I'm too lazy to look at the returns for you. But I bet there are close-in F seats like this coming home too.

A final thought...If you do book standard F, keep in mind you're taking away your own desired inventory that may open up as saver space later.
