Hi there BA forum. First time poster long time lurker. Thanks for all info in this forum, it's allowed me to book some great redemptions over next 12 months
Anyway, I've got some inconsistencies with the manage my booking on BA.com for two upcoming trips I've booked. One trip allows me to pay to reserve seats on all legs, the other trip doesn't offer this option, and says choose seats on check in.
For reference, both trips booked as avios redemptions, as follows;
Trip 1 booked via baec MAN-LHR-LAX, JFK-LHR-MAN, club world. Originally LHR-LAX was booked in WT+ but upgraded over phone when availability opened up. Used 2-4-1 voucher. Can only choose seats on MAN-LHR leg. No other legs available for seat selection.
Trip 2 is MAN-LHR-JFK first, JFK-LHR-MAN club world, booked via ba.com, again with 2-4-1. Allows me to choose seats on all legs.
I'm aware as BA blue I have to pay to reserve seats, this I dont have any issue with. However curious as to why I cant reserve seats as we'd happily pay extra to get the seats we want on the LAX leg.
