If you're asking 180,000 miles versus $1200...Unless you're stapped for cash, this would be a gross misuse of miles, IMHO.

Since you collect Chase miles, if you have 120,000 'choices' miles for each, you can redeem for a statement credit at a penny a mile. Some say that's a bad use of miles, but if you have earned that many, per ticket, through Chase, it's certainly better than the .75 cents (yes, less than one cent) you're looking to redeem at. Only downside, in your case, is that you'd have to book United flights and not HA, and I'd guess the prices are or will ultimately be similar.

Regardless, don't book now for standard. Maybe saver will open later, and at least wait until the aircraft flying these routes is established (everything is placeholders for now). Worst cae, get on a widebody. It's the same miles for a lie-flat 757 (which occasionally appear on Hawaii routes) as it is for a densely-packed 757-300 with standard domestic recliners. The real aircraft will appear 2-3 months before departure. And there will most likely be standard seats for 'sale' at that point as well.
