I am pretty new to Marriott. Just recently got the Ritz-Carlton credit card, which gives Gold-level status. The Marriott webpage says Gold benefits include: Lounge Access/Free Breakfast - Free daily continental breakfast, light snacks and beverages for members and one guest in the Executive Lounge*. (* At JW Marriott®, Autograph Collection®, Renaissance® and Marriott Hotels®)
In spite of this written assurance, Marriott, in reply to an email I sent them, wrote: "The breakfast amenity is offered within the United States and Canada only."
Which is correct?
