I have the club card and called this morning about asking for a chip. I was told that all customers may be eligible for chip card by the end of 2015, but the rep was not sure.

On the other hand, if you plan on traveling internationally within the near future (no specific time period was given), they can always submit a special request for a chip card. That card is sent to you within 7-10 business days, if approved.

I told the rep I wasn't traveling internationally until early summer, but would like to get a chip card for my trips abroad. She told me to call back 7-10 days before I left (which seems like a bad idea if it takes 7-10 days just to process and mail) and ask for a chip card.

I guess I'm confused since everyone seems to have had a different experience.
