I have been in your shoes, and did travel half way around the world solo to visit New Zealand. Would do it again too. I've also traveled a quarter of the way around the world solo to visit non-English speaking countries, but you and are want different things. That's OK.
You seem to be trying to convince us to tell you that you shouldn't go. Whether or not you go is up to you.....we'll just make suggestions about what you might do when you're there, but you make the decision.
