I have a BA ticket for a trip I had to cancel; so the ticket is currently open with the original flights removed, pending my re-booking to use the fare (less the change fee).

The question: Can the net fare (in my case about $1100) be used for a booking that includes AA metal over the pond. For example ORD-LHR-ARN with the ORD-LHR being either (1) BA code share operated by AA or (2) AA flight number operated by AA?

Thanks for your help.
BA fares across the atlantic are agnostic of metal so this should be perfectly possible unless your underlying ticket conditions limited you to BA metal only (e.g. perhaps a hotline).
