As I understand it (and I should introduce myself by saying this is rumor, I am in no way "in the know"), the combis will be replaced with pure freighters, as the C-40a (-700 combi) will not be available for civilian use. The smaller -700 has a better weight to power ratio for a freighter than the -800 or -900, so as the -400's go, all of the freight lift will be -700 freighters.

Timing, of course, depends on how long it takes for someone to start offering the -700 freighter conversion. Last I have heard was '17 at the earliest. Anyone have newer info?
