8 x £350 = £2,800. A fair bit of cash for somebody who is paying for their own tickets. Given that, especially on s/h where one has the option of paying 8 x £100 to get to the same destination, I can see why BA would reward the extra spend with a bit of lounge access (which you would get anyway in J) and a few more perks.

Of course, for the business traveller this may seem like small beer. It is these people who pay nothing themselves for their corporate-discounted tickets that are really clogging up the lounges
