So here is the full story:
Was flying etihad from abu dhabi to dfw with a stopover in frankfurt (connecting flight AA71).
Got to FRA and found out flight was cancelled.
AA booked us on british 903, we were on the tarmac for over 3 hours due to weather and de-icing procedures. Before take off I called AA and told them that we would miss the original connection, so they rebooked us on AA 81.
Anyways we got to LHR, went through terminal connection. Got to get new tickets and they refused to print them (about a dozen did get tickets) claiming that the door was being closed in 5 minutes. A guy behind us did get his boarding pass (which pissed me off).
So now we are flying AA 107 to JFK and connecting tomorrow morning from LGA to DFW.
Do you think we are entitled to compensation we will be getting back home about 18 hours delayed? If so by whom etihad or AA? I am gold on AA and it was my first time flying etihad.
