At the moment I have about 75,000 in BA. OH has about 140,000.
We want to book and fly IB and need 100,000 points in an IB account. I have one - but don't have enough points to transfer to book. I was wondering if I move all my points to IB then book a flight and cancel, if the points would be divvied up differently for the return than they were taken but it seems not.

OH's IB account is new so he can't transfer his points across to do the booking so I think we're going to have to wait for what's left of the 90 days. We want to fly MAD to HAV, tax payable booking on the BA website for the same IB flight is over £300 more for 2 of us. We're only looking at one way for the moment.
