If Delta wants to compete for the high end transcon market with other carriers, they are going to have to step up and make sure this never happens, especially on a redeye. I can't recall how many threads I've seen on the DL forum where people speak down of the AA 321 C product, well at least that's what you will actually get because AA aren't playing plane roulette on the LAX/SFO-JFK route.

Clearly those telling the OP to suck it up and deal arent even the people DL is trying to market to on this route. For those who are the target audience, even a single screw up is an indication they might want to look at the competition.
