In trying to make sure I am prepared for upcoming flight(and I understand aircraft isn't known for sure until 48-24 Hours before departure etc), I have called into United to ask general questions about in-flight amenities. In the future don't be afraid to check United's website too. It actually has pretty good information most of the time and they've been doing a decent job of keeping things up to date recently. I think most of your questions can be answered here:
