Changing seats on Emirates web site

Whenever I try try to change seats on a booking via the emirates web site, I get the message "Sorry, we are unable to save the changes. Please check all information and try again.". Note that booking was made through the Emirates site.

Just on the off chance, I tried to change seats using the mobile site and this was successful. Now when looking at the booking on the main site it still shows the previously assigned seats, but when I view/print the E-ticket it shows the new seats.

Anyone able to explain this? Problem with ticket, or just a badly programmed web site?
