Just a bit of a query for folks... We are trying to get down to SA around this time next year, and of course I'm having a hard time finding seats in first or CW.

There are not two seats together on any flight going down in all of Jan, but there are seats going back on the date we want to go back. So I might just book those and hope for another one to open up on the outbound, booking first for a random date on the outbound and hoping to change it later.

The question I have there is- should I try and grab the one seat on the outbound on miles and see if another one opens later? I have had mixed advice with the seats "releasing" back into inventory - but the once I previously tried to do it, it worked.

Finally - I'm not averse to using our GUF2 on an ex-eu, making it easier to get seats in First. I wonder what kind of fares folks are used to seeing on the CPT or JNB routes ex-eu?
