On the US side, they are annoyingly strict about a la carte snacks ONLY. This is Pringles, M&Ms, a nut mix, and hummus/pita chips. I would not count on getting a sympathetic FA - I pretty much had to fight for my last one because the FA did not understand that EXP = OWE.
