I used to be very familiar with the area but haven't been in a while.

Bridges are definitely walkable, you'll probably have to dodge the ever present fishing people as you cross. The views will be of houses and canals and smaller boats going to and fro but pleasant.

Nearby is the Treasure Island RI which is right on the beach, stayed there, its fine although you'll walk at least a 1/4 mile to hit water, the beaches are wide in the area. Tiny pool for the size of the hotel. And I'm sure its a few categories higher now.
