I find FT to be immediately better simply because you can engage a reviewer in a thread - challenge, ask questions, etc. Sites like TA don't allow for that really - they have forums, but they're not tied to the reviews. TA is basically a dump truck full of opinions.
I don't even know that I trust frequent reviewers on TA that much, simply because I haven't had a conversation with them (and can't) like I do here.
