I can't imagine flying YVR-SYD and back immediately. I mean I guess you wouldn't really suffer jet lag, but I'm also assuming you did it in Y since J would be prohibitively expensive unless you used upgrades, in which case it could've actually just been a really nice way to have a couple meals, drinks, catch up on some movies/work and get some good rest.
