You know how the GA’s always try to coax people into checking their bags on a full flight, especially if it is a full flight.

Well, walking down the terminal fighting my way through the gate lice on the way to my gate in ATL I heard a GA announce that “anyone who has checked their bags at the gate can go ahead and board….” I assume this was after F and SP, but I thought this was a clever incentive to get those to check bags.

I’ve heard the plea to check hundreds of times and was always amazed that most of the time they don’t say that it is a free service. I imagine that most infrequent flyers may assume that there is the $50 fee.
