If a Costco cash card can be purchased with my Hilton AMEX, I'd do that. It is convenient, right next to where I work (we tore down our west building a few years ago & sold the land to Costco ).
Why not get the Hilton Reserve instead? You can get diamond status with $40K spend and you get the free night every year as well. I think it's a better deal than the Surpass.

I did like using Costco for keeping the spend up on my Delta Am Ex's for the MQM boosts but fortunately there are a lot of other places I can use it at.
