Well, I know one swimmer that's going to be there leading the U.S. team, and for her it's good prep for 2016 Olympic Trials in Omaha and the 2016 Olympics in Rio which will be a year out by then. I was planning on coming up for that myself until my youngest nephew decided to get married the same week. I hope the Canadian swimmers see the same value in using this event as a springboard going forward towards the Olympics in 2016.

Natalie Coughlin to lead strong swimming team at Pan Ams

Montreal hosted World Championships in 2005 and I came up for that, and we've also had Pan Pacific Championships in Saanich, outside Victoria, in 2006, that I was up for. I enjoyed them both. I'm disappointed I can't make it up this summer for Toronto.
