When you use a source like TripAdvisor, it's like using FlyerTalk. Before you act on any information, see how often and the quality of a member's posts.
A one-time review is suspicious, someone who has a number of reviews, particularly if they've reviewed somewhere you've been and you agree with your impressions, is apt to be more reliable.
Shills are everywhere. We shoot 'em down pretty quickly here, but they can thrive - for a while, at least - on Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.
