My bucket list is to eventually book Seattle to a remote Alaskan village with stopovers in FAI or ANC, visiting the National Parks in Alaska (e.g. SEA-OME in June is $600-800 or 25,000 miles.
Then I need to figure out how to get to American Samoa using partner awards so I can visit the National Park there and then go on to New Zealand or Australia in Business Class.
Too many things to plan for.
If you want to get the most value just book an intra-Alaska flight. It is only 7.5k points. You can fly to Adak, which is an island in the Aleutian chain. $700 ticket for 7.5k points equals 10 cents per mile.
