Will non U.S. SM members continue earning base & bonus miles based on miles flown?
Hi All,
I am trying to get some feedback from non U.S. Skymiles members (or others that know) about the 2015 revision:
DL thankfully exempted us non U.S. members from its new MQD rules, which to me is a major reason to continue and fly exclusively with DL and its partners.
However, I am trying to understand if the same rules apply to all members (non U.S. and U.S.) re earning miles for travel, upgrades etc. I noticed that on my recent trip post Jan1, I indeed earned full MQMs for all my travel (which was a combination of DL, AF and KL coded flights), however my base and bonus miles were calculated differently. For example on a CDG-DTW (which was a DL coded one, flown in Y) leg I see:
MQMs:10,695 MQSs:3 MQDs -- BASE MILES 2,280 BONUS MILES 1,368
Does anyone has concrete information re this? The GM line did not really know how to answer my Qs, I guess they don't have many non U.S. people? I also could not find much info on the DL website.
Is this correct or should non U.S. member continue earning base and bonus miles according to miles flown and not based on ticket price/class?
Any help will be appreciated.
