I was a fearful flyer for many years.

Actually, strike that, I was a non-flyer for many years.

I did trains, driving, I once took a taxi from Toronto to Sacramento, CA.

In 2000, I went on an Air Canada fear of flying course, which was fantastic, and now I have high status with most of the North American airlines.

So with that being said, I concur with the posts above -- on all of these criteria: pilot experience, aircraft safety, etc., AC is absolutely top-notch.

What I will say is that the Embraer rides rough when there is turbulence. Even with the amount of flying I do, I do not like the Embraer for this exact reason. I would stick with an Airbus or Boeing if not feeling turbulence is a big criteria.
