There's a thing you can do to improve the instant experience.
You put a heaped teaspoonful or two of the granules in your cup along with some sugar and a dash of milk then you proceed to beat the living daylights out of it until it forms a creamy paste.
Only then do you add the boiling water. Heck of a palaver but it does work although I can't see the cabin crew doing it on request.
