After reading this thread I want to make sure I have this right. I'm doing an I>I transfer at DEL in two days. Flying SYD-DEL-DXB. US passport and do not hold a visa for India. Currently scheduled as a 2:00 layover. One ticket, all AI operated and coded.

1. When I get off the plane from SYD I have to find a "transfer desk" and get some stamp on my BP? Will I be allowed through security without this stamp?
2. I have read conflicting reports on what to do when I get in from SYD. I thought I was stuck in the transit lounge but based on reading this thread it looks like I can get through security and into the departures area of T3 so I can actually use a *A lounge? (Note: I'm in paid J but also *G). This would be great.

What happens if my SYD-DEL flight is delayed and I miss the connection to DXB? AI only has one flight a day to DXB from DEL so I'd be stuck for 24 hours in the transit lounge with no access to a lounge?
